Distribution
Known only from the vicinity of Poços de Caldas, São Thomé das Letras, and Pedralva in southern Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Comment
In the Dendropsophus polytaenius (as Hyla polytaenia) group according to the original publication. In the Hypsiboas pulchellus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 87-88. Orrico and Luna-Dias, 2006, Herpetol. Rev., 37: 358, provided a new locality in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Acioli and Toledo, 2008, Check List, 4: 182-184, discussed range and provided a new record for southern Minas Gerais, Brazil.
