Hyla larinopygion Duellman, 1973, Herpetologica, 29: 224. Holotype: KU 144127, by original designation. Type locality: "Quebrada Santa Tereza, between Popayán and Quintana, Departamento Cauca, Colombia, 2200 m".

Distribution
Eastern slope of the Nudo del Pasto and eastern slope of the Western Andes in the departments of Risaralda, Putumayo, and Valle del Cauca, Colombia, 1950-3100 m elevation; in adjacent northern Ecuador in Imbabura and Carchi provinces).
