Hyla fimbrimembra Taylor, 1948, Copeia, 1948: 235. Holotype: R.C. Taylor 764, by original designation; now FMNH 191784 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 51. Type locality: "Isla Bonita (The American Cicnona Plantation), on the Caribbean slope of Volcán Poas, [Heredia Province,] Costa Rica". Type locality discussed by Savage, 1974, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 22: 71-122.

Hyla richardi Taylor, 1948, Copeia, 1948: 233. Holotype: R. C. Taylor 761, by original designation; now FMNH 191783 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 52. Type locality: "2 miles W. of Isla Bonita (The American Cinchona Plantation) on the Caribbean slope of Volcán Poas, [Cantón de Alajuela, Provincia de Alajuela,] Costa Rica". Type locality commented on by Savage, 1974, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 22: 80. Junior primary homonym of Hyla richardi Baird, 1854. Synonymy by Duellman, 1970, Monogr. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas: 348.

Distribution

Elevations of 500-1500 m on the Caribbean and Pacific slopes of the Central Highlands and the Cordillera de Tilarán in Costa Rica and from 1600-1700 m on the Pacific slopes of the Cordillera de Talamanca in extreme western Panama.
