Comment

See Duellman, 1974, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 27: 19. Many color morphs of this species have been recognized taxonomically (W. E. Duellman in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 155). Considered by Cope, 1870 "1869", Proc. Am. Philos. Soc., 11: 156, and Boulenger, 1882, Cat. Batr. Sal. Coll. Brit. Mus., Ed. 2: 387, to be a junior synonym of Hyla leucophyllata. See comments by Heyer, 1977, Pap. Avulsos Zool., São Paulo, 31: 144. In the Dendropsophus leucophyllatus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 91. Moravec and Aparicio, 2004, Herpetozoa, 17: 90, provided the Bolivia record.
