Hyla robertmertensi Taylor, 1937, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 50: 43. Holotype: EHT-HMS 2270, by original designation; now FMNH 100096 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 53. Type locality: "near Tapachula, Chiapas", Mexico.

Mertens' Yellow Treefrog (Liner, 1994, Herpetol. Circ., 23: 23; Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 57; Liner and Casas-Andreu, 2008, Herpetol. Circ., 38: 11).

Distribution

Pacific lowlands from eastern Oaxaca, Mexico, to El Salvador; Cintalapa Valley in Chiapas, Mexico.
