Hyla robertmertensi Taylor, 1937, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 50: 43. Holotype: EHT-HMS 2270, by original designation; now FMNH 100096 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 53. Type locality: "near Tapachula, Chiapas", Mexico.

Pacific lowlands from eastern Oaxaca, Mexico, to El Salvador; Cintalapa Valley in Chiapas, Mexico.
