Hyla rhea Napoli and Caramaschi, 1999, Bol. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, N.S., Zool., 407: 5. Holotype: MNRJ 9104, by original designation. Type locality: "Brazil—São Paulo, Pirassununga, Cachoeira de Emas (approximately, 21° 59′ S, 47° 25′ W, 627 m above sea level)".
