Comment
Related to Hyla decipiens according to the original publication. Bastos and Pombal, 1996, Amphibia-Reptilia, 17: 325-331, provisionally placed this species in the Hyla microcephala group. Pugliese, Alves, and Carvalho-e-Silva, 2000, Alytes, 18: 73-80, doubted its assignment to this group. Izecksohn and Carvalho-e-Silva, 2001, Anf. Municipio Rio de Janeiro: 51, provided a brief account of this species (or something very similar) and photo. In the Dendropsophus microcephalus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 91-92.
