See Heyer, 1980, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 93: 655, who removed this from the synonymy of Hyla microps, where it had been placed by Mertens, 1967, Senckenb. Biol., 48(A): 41, and Lutz, 1973, Brazil. Spec. Hyla: 95. Hartmann and Hartmann, 2002, Herpetol. Rev., 33: 220-221, provided the record for São Paulo, Brazil, and commented on the distribution. In the Dendropsophus parviceps group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 93. Fonseca, Gonçalves, and Nascimento, 2011, Herpetol.
