Known from the type locality (Sinnamary, French Guiana) and northeastern Surinam.
Comment
In the Hyla luteoocellata group according to the original publication; in the Hyla parviceps group by implication (DRF). See comment under Hyla luteoocellata. In the Dendropsophus parviceps group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 93. Fouquet, Noonan, Blanc, and Orrico, 2011, Zootaxa, 3035: 59-67, provided molecular evidence that this species is in the Dendropsophus microcephalus group.
