Evol., 61: 543-583, in their study of Genbank sequences (but seemingly excluding the rhodopsin locus of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294, suggested that Bromeliohyla is imbedded phylogenetically within Ptychohyla.
