Hyla weygoldti Cruz and Peixoto, 1987 "1985", Arq. Univ. Fed. Rural Rio de Janeiro, 8: 63. Holotype: EI 7697, by original designation. Type locality: "Santa Tereza, E[spírito] S[anto]", Brazil.

English Names

Weygoldt's Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 58).

Distribution

Known from the type locality (Santa Tereza, Espírito Santo) and Fazenda Limoeiro, Municipality of Almenara, Minas Gerais, in eastern Brazil, ca. 650 m elevation.

Comment

In the Hyla albofrenata subgroup, Hyla albomarginata group, according to original publication. In the Aplastodiscus albofrenatus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 82. Ferreira, Pantoja, and Feio, 2005, Herpetol. Rev., 36: 332, provided the Minas Gerais record.
