Hyla cochranae Mertens, 1952, Senckenb. Biol., 33: 165. Holotype: SMF 43895, by original designation. Type locality: "Theresopolis [= Terezópolis], Santa Catharina, Brasilien". Given as "Queçaba (= Terezópolis), Palhoça, Santa Catarina", Brazil by Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 47.

Distribution

Known only from coastal mountains of Santa Catarina, Brazil.

Removed from the synonymy of Aplastodiscus perviridis by Garcia, Caramaschi, and Kwet, 2001, Rev. Brasil. Zool., 18: 1205 (who provided discussion on page 1197-1218), where it had been placed by Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 47. In the Aplastodiscus perviridis group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 82.
