Hyla albosignata Lutz and Lutz, 1938, An. Acad. Brasil. Cienc., 10: 185. Holotype: AL-MNRJ 722 according to Duellman, 1977, Das Tierreich, 95: 28. Type locality: "Alto da Serra de Cubatão, in the state of S. Paulo", Brazil. Given as "Paranapiacaba (= Alto da Serra), São Paulo", Brazil by Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 44.

Boana albosignata — Wiens, Fetzner, Parkinson, and Reeder, 2005, Syst. Biol., 54: 743. by implication.

Distribution

Serra do Mar and Serra da Mantiqueira in southeastern Brazil.

In the former Hyla albomarginata group of Duellman, 1970, Monogr. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas: 240. In the more exclusive Hyla albosignata subgroup of Cruz and Peixoto, 1987 "1985", Arq. Univ. Fed. Rural Rio de Janeiro, 8: 103-105. Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 82, transferred this group into Aplastodiscus, as the Aplastidiscus albisignatus group.
