Aparasphenodon Miranda-Ribeiro, 1920, Rev. Mus. Paulista, São Paulo, 12: 87. Type species: Aparasphenodon brunoi Miranda-Ribeiro, 1920, by monotypy.

Distribution

Coastal region of southeastern Brazil; upper Orinoco Basin, Venezuela and adjacent Colombia.
