Calamita quadrilineatus Schneider, 1799, Hist. Amph. Nat.: 169. Type(s): "Museo Barbyensi", presumably now lost. Type locality: Unknown. * Hyla quadrilineata— Daudin, 1802 "An. XI", Hist. Nat. Rain. Gren. Crap., Quarto: 42. * Rana quadrilineata— Shaw, 1802, Gen. Zool., 3(1): 127. ENGLISH NAME(S): Four-lined Frog ( Shaw, 1802, Gen. Zool., 3(1): 127). Four-lined Treefrog ( Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 57). DISTRIBUTION: Unknown. COMMENT: Similar to Hyla leucophyllata according to the original publication. This name has not been assigned to any known population (W.E. Duellman in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 149). Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 111, regarded this as a nomen dubium.
