Cerathyla johnsoni Noble, 1917, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 37: 798. Holotype: AMNH 1341, by original designation. Type locality: "Limited area in the precipitous valley of Santa Rita Creek which is located 14 miles north of the little village of Mesopotamia in the southeastern part of the Departament of Antioquia, Republic of Colombia, S. A."

Distribution
Cloud forests of the Cordillera Central of Antioquia and Caldas, Colombia, at elevations in excess of 1900 m; western slope of the Cordillera Occidental in the Departamento de Huila, Colombia, at ca. 1400 m.
