Gastrotheca walkeri Duellman, 1980, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 690: 1. Holotype: UMMZ 117177, by original designation. Type locality: "between Estación Biológica Rancho Grande and Paso Portachuelo, Estado Aragua, Venezuela, 1100 m".

Gastrotheca (Opisthodelphys) walkeri — Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 31.

English Names

Walker's Marsupial Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 53).

Distribution

Central part of Cordillera de la Costa, Venezuela, 650-1200 m elevation.

Comment

Superficially similar to Gastrotheca longipes but of uncertain phylogenetic position, according to Duellman, Maxson, and Jesiolowski, 1988, Copeia, 1988: 527-543.
