Gastrotheca lauzuricae De la Riva, 1992, Rev. Esp. Herpetol., 6: 18. Holotype: CET 501, by original designation. Type locality: "La Siberia, a 40 Km de Comarapa en dirección a Poho (17° 48′ S/64° 46′ O), provincia Carrasco, departamento de Cochabamba, 2800 m", Bolivia.

Known only from the type locality (holotype only) in the Department of Cochabamba, Bolivia, at 2800 m elevation.
In the Gastrotheca marsupiata group, very similar to Gastrotheca marsupiata, according to the original publication.
