Comment

Herrmann, Herrmann, Schmitz, and Böhme, 2005, Herpetozoa, 18: 96, provided a photograph of the holotype, which they noted had inadvertently not been pictured in the original publication. Herrmann, Schmitz, Herrmann, and Böhme, 2007, Bonn. Zool. Beitr., 55: 27-35, reported a second locality in the Tchabal Mbabo mountains, Cameroon. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 147. Gvoždík, 2011, Herpetol. Rev., 42: 106, provided a record from Gotel Mountains, Adamawa Province, Cameroon, and suggested that the species would be found in Nigeria.
