Gastrotheca chrysosticta Laurent, 1976, Acta Zool. Lilloana, 32: 58. Holotype: FML 02098, by original designation. Type locality: "Palca de San Martín, Serranía de Porongal, Dpto. Santa Victoria, Prov. Salta, Argentina, 1530 m".

Gastrotheca (Gastrotheca) chrysosticta — Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 32.

English Names

Salta Marsupial Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 53).

Distribution

Vicinity of type locality on lower Andean slopes in Salta Province, northern Argentina; extending into adjacent Tarija Department, Bolivia.
