Gastrotheca christiani Laurent, 1967, Acta Zool. Lilloana, 22: 354. Holotype: FML 01369 (in error; actually FML 00482 according to Lavilla and Kretzschmar, 1998, Acta Zool. Lilloana, 44: 222). Type locality: "más or menos a 50 km de Calilegua a lo largo de la ruta de Valla Grante, Provincia de Jujuy", Argentina.

Gastrotheca (Opisthodelphys) christiani — Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 31.

English Names

Christian's Marsupial Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 53).

Distribution

Vicinity of type locality (Jujuy) on mid-elevational (1550-2600 m elevation) slopes of Andes in northern Argentina to Salta Province.
