Gastrotheca andaquiensis Ruiz-Carranza and Hernández-Camacho, 1976, Caldasia, 11: 151. Holotype: ICN 401, by original designation. Type locality: "Inmediaciones de la Cueva de los Guáchoros, valle del Río Sauza (tributario del alto río Magdalena), vertiente occidental de la Cordillera Oriental, Departamento del Huila, Colombia; altura ca. 2.000 m."

Gastrotheca humbertoi Lutz, 1977, Bol. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, N.S., Zool., 290: 1. Formerly in MLS; now lost. Type locality: "El Mirador, some 57 km from Mocoar, on the road from that town to Sibundoy, [Departamento] Putumayo, Colombia (1° 08′ N, 76° 38′ W. Gr., 2000m of altitude)". Synonymy by Duellman, 1989, Caldasia, 16: 106.

English Names

Andes Marsupial Frogs (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 52).

Distribution

Amazonian slopes of Andes in southern Colombia (Caquetá, Huila, and Putumayo departments) and Ecuador south to Zamora (department), 1000-2000 m elevation; upper Magdalena Valley, Huila, Colombia, 2000 m elevation.

Comment

In the Gastrotheca ovifera group by implication of Duellman, Maxson, and Jesiolowski, 1988, Copeia, 1988: 527-543. Mueses-Cisneros, 2005, Caldasia, 27: 232, provided a record for Putumayo, Colombia.
