Gastrotheca abdita Duellman, 1987, Copeia, 1987: 903. Holotype: KU 196833, by original designation. Type locality: "Cordillera Colán, 2970 m, east of La Peca, Departamento de Amazonas, Peru".

Distribution
Known only from the isolated Cordillera Colán in Amazonas, Peru, 2970-3330 m elevation.
