Flectonotus Miranda-Ribeiro, 1926, Arq. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, 27: 109. Type species: Nototrema pygmaeum Boettger, 1893, by original designation.

Nototheca Bokermann, 1950, Pap. Avulsos Zool., São Paulo, 9: 217. Replacement name for Coelonotus Miranda-Ribeiro, 1920.
