Cryptobatrachus ruthveni Lynch, 2008, Zootaxa, 1883: 63. Holotype: ICN7147, by original designation. Type locality: "Montañita, San Pedro de la Sierra, municipio de Ciénaga, Magdalena, Colombia, 1400 m".

Immediate vicinity of San Pedro de la Sierra, on the western flank of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, between 1400 and 1540 m.
Comment
Most similar to Cryptobatrachus boulengeri according to the original publication.
