Eleutherodactylus (Euhyas) riparius Estrada and Hedges, 1998, Caribb. J. Sci., 34: 222. Holotype: MNHNCU 672, by original designation. Type locality: "Soroa, Sierra del Rosaio, Candelaria, Pinar del Río [Province], Cuba, 155 m".

Distribution

Islandwide on Cuba, except for the extreme east, from sea level to 800 m elevation.

Comment

Confused with Eleutherodactylus sierramaestrae prior to its description. See comment under Eleutherodactylus rivularis. In the Eleutherodactylus (Euhyas) luteolus species series, Eleutherodactylus riparius species group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 73. Díaz and Cadíz, 2008, Guía Taxon. Anf. Cuba, 4: 108-109, provided a brief account, illustration, and map.
