Syrrhophus marnockii Cope, 1878, Am. Nat., 12: 253. Syntypes: ANSP 10765-68, according to Malnate, 1971, Proc. Acad. Nat. Sci. Philadelphia, 123: 351. Type locality: "near San Antonio", Bexar County, Texas, USA. Placed on the Official List of Specific Names in Zoology by Opinion 1024, Anonymous, 1974, Bull. Zool. Nomencl., 31: 130-132.
