Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) mariposa Hedges, Estrada, and Thomas, 1992, Herpetol. Monogr., 6: 78. Holotype: MNHNCU 591, by original designation. Type locality: "5.4 km WSW La Tagua, Meseta del Guaso, [Guantanamo Province,] Cuba, 720 m".

English Names

Lily Robber Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 76).

Distribution

Known only from La Tagua and Los Hondones on the Meseta del Guaso, Guantánamo Province, southeastern Cuba, ca. 720 m elevation.

Comment

Subgenus Eleutherodactylus according to the original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) abbotti series, Eleutherodactylus abbotti group of Lynch and Duellman, 1997, Univ. Kansas Mus. Nat. Hist. Spec. Publ., 23: 228. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) auriculatus species series, Eleutherodactylus auriculatus group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 55.
