Comment
In the Eleutherodactylus auriculatus group according to the original publication. Schwartz, 1965, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 78: 167, elevated this form to species status without explanation; it has been so treated since (J.D. Lynch in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 294). Reviewed by Schwartz, 1983, Cat. Am. Amph. Rept., 336: 1. Placed in the Eleutherodactylus (Euhyas) bakeri series by Hedges, 1989, in Woods (ed.), Biogeograph. W. Indies: 322-323.
