Eleutherodactylus glamyrus Estrada and Hedges, 1997, J. Herpetol., 31: 365. Holotype: MNHNCU 660, by original designation. Type locality: "Pino del Agua Arriba, Sierra Maestra, Municipio Guisa, Granma Province, Cuba, 1200 m."

Distribution

Isolated populations in the Sierra del Turquino, Sierra Maestra, Granma and Santiago de Cuba provinces, Cuba, 800-1974 m elevation.

Comment

In the Eleutherodactylus auriculatus group according to the original publication. In the Eleutherodactylus (Eleutherodactylus) auriculatus species series, Eleutherodactylus auriculatus group of Hedges, Duellman, and Heinicke, 2008, Zootaxa, 1737: 55. Díaz and Cadíz, 2008, Guía Taxon. Anf. Cuba, 4: 112-113, provided a brief account, illustration, and map. Rodríguez, Vences, Nevado, Machordom, and Verheyen, 2010, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 54: 179-186, reported on the phylogenetic placement of the species within the Eleutherodactylus auriculatus group. Rodríguez, de la Nuez, and Alonso, 2010, J. Herpetol., 44: 457-466, reported on variation in the advertisement call among populations.
