Crap., Quarto: 57, pl. 17, fig. 2. Type locality: "'île de Portoricco"; given as " Portorico . . . dans les montagnes de l'ile" by Daudin, 1802 "An. XI", Hist. Nat. Rain. Gren. Crap., Quarto: 57. A nomen oblitum under Art. 23.9 (International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, 1999; see Rana maculata Brocchi (Ranidae).
