Arthroleptis reichei Nieden, 1911 "1910", Sitzungsber. Ges. Naturforsch. Freunde Berlin, 1910: 437. Syntypes: ZMB 21772 and 21780 (total of 4 specimens) according to Laurent in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 15. Type locality: "Kratersee des Ngosi Vulcans", Poroto Mountains, Tanzania.

Abroscaphus reichei — Laurent, 1957, Rev. Zool. Bot. Afr., 56: 274-275. by implication.

Distribution

Moist evergreen montane forest in the Poroto, Rungwe, Udzungwa, and Uluguru mountains of Tanzania and the Misuku Hills of northern Malawi, 1500-2000 m elevation.
