Micrixalus magnapustulosus Taylor and Elbel, 1958, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 38: 1066. Holotype: EHT-HMS 31838, by original designation; now FMNH 172780 according to Marx, 1976, Fieldiana, Zool., 69: 58. Type locality: "Ban Na Phua (subvillage), Kan Luang (village), Na Kae (district), Nakhon Phanom (province), Thailand, elevation approx. 200 m. "

Distribution

Nakhon Phanon, Ubon, Loei, and Chiang Mai provinces, Thailand; presumably in adjacent Laos.

Comment

See Matsui, 1979, Contrib. Biol. Lab. Kyoto Univ., 25: 300-302 (as Ooeidozyga magnapustulosus). Nutphund, 2001, Amph. Thailand: 91, provided a brief characterization but the photograph accompanying this is of a Limnonectes according to Ohler, 2003, Alytes, 21: 101.
