Comment

Closely related to Rana beddomii according to the original publication. See comment under Rana beddomii. Discussed by Bourret, 1942, Batr. Indochine: 376-377. See account by Taylor, 1962, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 43: 456-459. Nutphund, 2001, Amph. Thailand: 102, provided a brief characterization (as Rana tasanae) and photograph (which Ohler, 2003, Alytes, 21: 101, did not consider identifiable beyond the association with the genus Limnonectes). Chan-ard, 2003, Photograph. Guide Amph. Thailand: 112-113, provided a very brief account, map for Thailand, and photograph. See photograph, map, description of geographic range and habitat, and conservation status in Stuart, Hoffmann, Chanson, Cox, Berridge, Ramani, and Young, 2008, Threatened Amph. World: 481.
