Rana pullus Smith, 1921, J. Fed. Malay States Mus., 10: 197. Syntypes: BMNH (11 specimens), by original designation. Type locality: "Tasan, 25 miles S. W. Chumporn, Peninsular Siam [Thailand]". Preoccupied by Rana gracilis var. pulla Stoliczka, 1870.

Distribution
Western Thailand (Phume, Kanchanaburi Province) and central peninsular Thailand (Chumphon, Renong, Surat Thani, and Phagnga provinces), possibly into adjacent Tenasserim, Myanmar, ca. 1000 m elevation.

Closely related to Rana beddomii according to the original publication. See comment under Rana beddomii. Discussed by Bourret, 1942, Batr. Indochine: 376-377. See account by Taylor, 1962, Univ. Thailand: 102, provided a brief characterization (as Rana tasanae) and photograph (which Ohler, 2003, Alytes, 21: 101, did not consider identifiable beyond the association with the genus Limnonectes).
