Distribution

Central and eastern Nepal at moderate elevations; northern India in Haryana, and Uttararkhand; Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, and Manipur in northeastern India, and adjacent southeastern (Chittagong region) of Bangladesh.

Nepal: 244-246, provided an account for the Nepal population. Ao, Bordoloi, and Ohler, 2003, Zoos' Print J., 18: 1117-1125, provided records for Nagaland, northeastern India. Ningombam and Bordoloi, 2007, Zoos' Print J., 22: 2688-2690, provided a record for Manipur, northeastern India. Borthakur, Kalita, Hussain, and Sengupta, 2007, Zoos' Print J., 22: 2639-2643, compared the species of northwestern India (Fejervarya nepalensis, Fejervarya pierrei, Fejervarya syhadrensis, and Fejervarya teraiensis). Mathew and Sen, 2010, Pict. Guide Amph. NE India: 31, provided a brief characterization and photographs. Rasel, Hannan, and Howlader, 2007, Bangladesh Wildl. Bull., 2007: 1-3, reported this species for Bangladesh. See Shah and Tiwari, 2004, Herpetofauna Nepal: 56, for brief account (as Limnonectes nepalensis) for Nepal. Bahuguna, 2012, Herpetol.
