Rana quadranus Liu, Hu, and Yang, 1960, Acta Zool. Sinica, 12: 286, 292. Holotype: CIB 571357, by original designation (misprinted in the English abstract as 571589). Type locality: "Kwan-yang, Wushan, Szechwan [=Sichuan], 1463 m altitude", China.

Distribution

High-gradient streams in forest and shrublands of the Wuling, Daba, Qinling, and Longment mountains of southern Shaanxi, southern Shanxi, southwestern Henan, southern Gansu, northeastern Sichuan, Hubei, northern Hunan, and western Anhui, China, 500-2700 m elevation.
