Type locality: "western Guinea, Préfecture Télimélé, N 10.8549167, W -13.7417222, 286 m a.s.l., . . . , degraded gallery forest, small creak [sic] present, surrounding areas with corn, peanuts and rice fields".

Forests and forested savannas in western Guinea in the region of the type locality although expect to be found more widely.
Genetically most similar to Arthroleptis aureoli according to the original publication.
