Arthroleptis (Arthroleptulus) crusculum Angel, 1950, Bull. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat. Paris, Ser. 2, 22: 559. Holotype: MNHNP, by original designation. Type locality: "piste de Bié (altitude 1.000 mètres) au bord d'un marigot, sous forêt galerie", Mount Nimba, Guinea.

Arthroleptis consculum — Gorham, 1974, Checklist World Amph.: 129. Incorrect subsequent spelling.

English Names

Guinea Screeching Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 37).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Mt. Nimba, Guinea) above 500 m elevation; presumably to be found in adjaent Liberia and Ivory Coast.

Comment

Noted to be similar to Arthroleptis poecilonotus by Perret, 1991, Bull. Soc. Neuchatel. Sci. Nat., 114: 71-76. Frétey, 2008, Alytes, 25: 99-172, summarized the literature and reported the species from Sierra Leone, but without a specific locality.
