Comment

Kuramoto, Joshy, Kurabayashi, and Sumida, 2008 "2007", Curr. Herpetol., 26: 98-99, placed this taxon as a synonym of Fejervarya on the basis of their suggestion that generic recognition of Minervarya rendered Fejervarya paraphyletic. Ohler, Deuti, Grosjean, Paul, Ayyaswamy, Ahmed, and Dutta, 2009, Zootaxa, 2209: 43-56, argued that the taxon should be maintained until the evidence upon which this change was made was disclosed and/or a more complete sampling of Fejervarya had been accomplished. (See comment under Fejervarya record for more complete discussion of Fejervarya monophyly—DRF.)
