In the Limnonectes (Limnonectes) microdiscus group of Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 63, who removed from the synonymy of Rana elberti, where it had been placed by Forcart, 1953, Verh. Naturforsch. Ges. Basel, 64: 356-388, Menzies, 1987, Aust. J. Zool., 35: 373-418, seemingly accepted the earlier synonymy.
