Rana khammonensis Smith, 1929, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 10, 3: 296. Holotype: BMNH 1928.6.29.14, by original designation. Type locality: "Napé (alt. 900 metres) on the Kham-mon Plateau, west of Vinh, Annam", Laos.

Limnonectes (Limnonectes) khammonensis — Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 63.

English Names

Khammon Wart Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 100).

Distribution

Annam (Vietnam) and adjacent Laos.

Comment

See brief account by Bourret, 1942, Batr. Indochine: 260. Suggested to be more closely related to the subgenus Bourretia (now Elachyglossa) by Iskandar in Emerson and Ward, 1998, Zool. J. Linn. Soc., 122: 541. In the Limnonectes (Limnonectes) grunniens group of Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 63.
