Rana pileata Boulenger, 1916, J. Nat. Hist. Soc. Siam, 2: 103. Syntypes: BMNH (4 specimens) according to original publication; Das and Lim, 2001, Raffles Bull. Zool., 49: 8, reported 22 specimens as syntypes (although only four were mentioned in the original publication): BMNH 1947.2.1.97-99, 1947.2.2.1-11, and ZRC 1.852-853.
