Elachyglossa gyldenstolpei Andersson, 1916, K. Svensk. Vetensk. Akad. Handl., 55: 13-14. Holotype: NHRM 1656 according to Ohler and Dubois, 1999, Zool. Scripta, 23: 271. Type locality: "Bang Hue Pong, a small village on the southern slopes of the Koon Tan Mountains, Northern Siam [Thailand]".

Rana pileata Boulenger, 1916, J. Nat. Hist. Soc. Siam, 2: 103. Syntypes: BMNH (4 specimens) according to original publication; Das and Lim, 2001, Raffles Bull. Zool., 49: 8, reported 22 specimens as syntypes (although only four were mentioned in the original publication): BMNH 1947.2.1.97-99, 1947.2.2.1-11, and ZRC 1.852-853. Type localities: "Khao Cebab, Chantabun, S. E. Siam", Chanthaburi Province, Thailand. Synonymy by Ohler and Dubois, 1999, Zool. Scripta, 23: 275-276.

Thailand: 100, provided a brief characterization (as Elachyglossa gyldenstolpei) but, according to Ohler, 2003, Alytes, 21: 101, the frog so pictured is actually Limnonectes laticeps.
