Distribution

Lang-bai Plateau, Lam Dong Province, Vietnam; tributaries of the Mekong and Krong Rivers in Cambodia and southern Vietnam, below 900 m elevation.

Status elevated from subspecies under Limnonectes macrognathus by Dubois, 1987 "1986", Alytes, 5: 62; without discussion. Orlov, Murphy, Ananjeva, Ryabov, and Ho, 2002, Russ. J. Herpetol., 9: 87, commented on the range. Stuart, Sok, and Neang, 2006, Raffles Bull. Zool., 54: 137-138, provided a record and account for Cambodia.
