Colostethus pumilus Rivero, 1991, Caribb. J. Sci., 27: 10. Holotype: USNM 282816, by original designation. Type locality: "3 km W. (by road) of San Vicente, slightly south of W. of Limón, and ca. 35 km E. (by road) of Gualaceo, 9800 ft (2987 m), Provincia Azuay", Ecuador.
