Fall PVA Tutorial - Admission by invitation only and the course is closed

We will meet on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 in the ornithology classroom at amnh.

We are going to use a workshop format to go through the book:

Morris, WF and DF Doak. 2002. Quantitative Conservation Biology, Sinauer.

The goal of the course is to examine the populations dynamics associated with population viability analyses and to see how they can be modeled using MATLAB. This is, however, not a basic course in programming so you should already have basic familiarity with MATLAB.

You will need a computer - preferably a laptop you can bring to class - and you will need to have MATLAB installed on it. I have a version you can load on a PC and you can contact Linda to obtain it. There is a nice tutorial and there are several introductory books available through the MATHWORKS web site.

I will use this web site to post relevant things any of us find or create.

PVA.zip is the set of matlab files in the book and corrections.m is just what it says.
