Information for guests. To reach the American Museum of Natural History, New York, NY, take a plane to New York. If you land at JFK take the airport shuttle train ($5) to the end of the A subway line and from there take the A train to Manhattan and get off at 59th street (about 45 minutes). There, change to the C or B to 81st (only two stops; both trains leave from the same paltform, across form the A platform). When you get off the train, turn left so that you exit at the 79th street entrance (rather than the 81st street entrance). As soon as you pass the gate, you will see the Museum entrance in front of you (there is an internal subway entrance to the Museum). Once inside, ask the guard on duty to call me on 3444. From La Guardia or Newark, take a bus to the Port Authority, and then take the C to 81st street. Below is a map of the area around the Museum and here is our beautiful City's Metropolitan Transport Authority (MTA) not-so-beautiful (or useful) home page . Since I am frequently away here is my schedule. |
