Classes University classes and workshops may use Station facilities. High school classes and continuing education classes may also avail themselves of the Station’s facilities. For more information on workshops offered by the SWRS and hosted by the SWRS please click here. Classes and Workshops include: 1. groups of participants that are in degree seeking programs, and/or 2. groups of participants that receive certification after completing the class or workshop.
Cabins
Accommodations are rooms with 4 or 5 single beds, and a private bathroom with shower. Note: If you reserve the room as a private room, you will be the only one(s) in that room. In winter, when the dining room is closed, we have two rooms available with full kitchens.
All linens are supplied. Rooms do not have televisions or telephones (see below). A swimming pool is available for guest use, as are a washer and dryer and a common-use refrigerator.
Meals
All rates for lodging include three meals each day. March through October, meals are served promptly at 7:30 am, 12:00 noon, and 6:00 pm. Guests eat family style in the dining room or at outside picnic tables. Vegetarian meals are available with advance notice. Also, with 24-hour notice sack lunches can be provided. For hardy early-birds who would rather be birding at 7:30, a self-serve cold breakfast of cereal and juice can be arranged the night before with the cook and taken before 6:30 am. The kitchen is closed between meals.
For those not staying at the station, meals can be purchased in the dining hall (if we have room) with 24 hours advance notice. Prices for meals are: breakfast, $8.00, lunch, $10.00 and dinner $12.00. Please call to inquire. If the Station is full, it may not be possible to accommodate you. Rates Participants in Science Courses (Participants include instructors) Participants must be in a degree seeking program or receiving certification from the instructor. Meal Fees are mandatory during the season 1 March – 31 October
1 Station Fees include use of the labs, science facilities, and/or conference room. 2 Private is defined as not sharing your room with anyone outside your party. 3 A limited number of campers are allowed on station grounds; call to check on availability. Campers must bring their own bath towels and sleeping linen. Internet: The labs are wired for ADSL and wireless is available in most station locations. A computer room is available for those that do not bring their own laptops. The cost of internet is $5.00 per week or any time period less than one week.

Winter Rates, November through February, include lodging only.
Winter rates do not include meals. However, accommodations with kitchens are available and a restaurant is located within five miles of the station.
Reservations Reservations for spring (March 1-June 15), fall (Sept. 1-Oct. 31) and winter (Nov. 1-Feb. 28) can be made at any time; a $40 per adult deposit is required. Deposits must be received within seven working days to guarantee reservations. Cancellation policy $10 nonrefundable/person (30 days notice), $20 nonrefundable/person (less than 30 days), no refund less than 24 hours. As the summer is our busiest research time, naturalist reservations are taken only one week in advance June 15-Aug. 31.
