George G. Simpson 1930

George G. Simpson's first expedition sponsored by Mr. Horace Scarritt, to the Patagonia of South America to collect fossil mammals. This expedition was meticulously documented by Simpson in full colored drawings of many of the rock units that he collected from. It is one of the longest, and most detailed field notes we have online. A second book was required to continue his documentation and can be found at the end of the notebook, or by viewing it here.
