Dear Prof. Osborn:-

I think I am going to have enough money to meet my needs, if Prof. (Bermpes?) has made the deposit of $500, which you said you had written for.

Our quarry work is finished now and all hands are at work prospecting. Some more rather interesting small things from the upper horizon, and a very good skull with most of the mandibles of a large Crocodilus (70cm. long)

Parts of two more Arsinoitherium skulls have been found. Enough of each will be worth saving. Our last number was 344.

The weather continues warm now and the flies are bad. Still, the conditions are not bad enough to prevent work.

We are working hard and I hope I may report more fine specimen before we leave.

Have written Diradour once more - he has acknowledged receipt of plates but I can't understand why he does not attend to the development and printing. I told him you were anxious for the prints as soon as possible.

Shall send another detailed list of our collecting by next mail.

Yours, with regard and respect

Walter Granger
