Female (PBI_OON 14991). Total length 2.04. As in male except as noted. CEPHALOTHORAX: Carapace comparing with the male, the carapace is slightly broader anteriorly, with the ocular area occupying a minor proportion of the pars cephalica. Sternum orange;. Labium chelicerae, endites and labium orange; labium subpentagonal, elongated. Endites endites convergent anteriorly, anterior tip without the spine-like projection of males. Female palp claws absent; spines absent. ABDOMEN: Dorsal scutum less than 1/4 abdomen width, narrow, with irregular margins, shorter than those of the male. The other known female seems to lack that sclerotization.. LEGS: tibiae there are a few oval cuticular depressions (Emerit's glands?). Leg spination (only surfaces bearing spines listed, all spines longer than segment width): (leg I: femur: p0-0-1, pv0-0-1; tibia: v2-2-2-0; metatarsus: v2-2, leg II: tibia: v2-2-2-0; metatarsus: v2-2. ). Tarsi I to IV superior claws tooth not examined in detail. Trichobothria examined with SEM; base longitudinally narrowed, aperture internal texture not grate-like, hood covered by numerous low, closely spaced ridges, hood and distal plates not well differentiated,. Tarsal organ with 3 sensilla visible, capsullate, opening intermediate between oval and a long slit.. GENITALIA: Shape: anterior diverticle, with a thin lumen, associated to a transverse sclerite (with at least two pair of muscles attached). Advanced, and apparently attached to the sclerite, there is an anterior process with a transverse widened structure. These anterior elements together look like the complex known in other oonopids, as "Opopaea" fosuma Burger 2002 and Silhouettella loricatula (Roewer 1942), described in Burger et al (2003)and Burger et al (2006), and probably have some type of locking mechanism. The posterior receptaculum have the anterior wall strongly sclerotised, and a kind of strongly and irregularly coiled internal duct.
